It's the season for mosquitoes, and the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District is battling to keep the bugs at bay.

The pests usually come out around Memorial Day, but started a week later this year.

Military members and their families can visit Scott County Historical Society’s Stans Museum free of charge all summer long. It is one of 1,300 museums across the country participating in the Blue Star Museums program.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas for Monday afternoon.
