Historic May Storm Brings Double-Digit Snow Totals to Some Areas

The Twin Cities metro area caught a break from heavy snow while areas south of the metro were looking like a winter wonderland Thursday.

The metro area saw less snow accumulation than previously forecast because the storm shifted south and east.

Crews continue to clean up after an explosion at Koda Energy LLC in Shakopee.

There was an explosion in two silos containing woodchips and oat hulls at the biomass facility on April 25. 

Minneapolis Home Prices Up 12 Percent from Last Year

Home prices reportedly are going up in Minneapolis - and across the country.

A new national report by Standard & Poor Case-Shiller Home Price Indices, released Tuesday, showed that average home prices in Minneapolis and 19 other cities were up from last February compared to a year ago.

In Minneapolis, the report says average home prices increased by 12 percent.

Dayton Calls Laughing Crowd 'Rude' in Shakopee

Gov. Mark Dayton spoke in a different setting Monday night.

During an open forum in Shakopee, the Minnesota governor confronted what he called a "rude" audience. It started when the crowd responded with laughter when Dayton said he thinks the state's Legislators aren't getting paid enough.
