Crews Continue to Observe Shakopee Plant After Explosion

The fire at a Shakopee biomass plant continues to burn Friday and will for the next several days.

Firefighters were working to put out hot spots Friday morning to make sure the fire doesn't flare back up. Fire crews will be out at Koda Energy LLC all weekend.

An explosion erupted Thursday at an energy plant in Shakopee.

The explosion happened at Koda Energy in Shakopee, a partner of Rahr Malting Co. No injuries were reported in the blast that erupted in two biomass tanks.
