Savage Police: Injured Pit Bull May Have Been Hit by Vehicle

Savage Police say an injured pit bull is not believed to have been abducted or beaten.

The pit bull's owner said he believed someone had beat and stabbed the dog, then left it for dead.

Robert Cole is the owner of the 4-year-old pit bull, named Cesar.

On Thursday Cole told KSTP he believed someone opened the gate at his home, took Cesar and attacked him.

Burnsville Man Indicted in Shooting Death of Savage Man

A 23 year-old Burnsville man is now charged in the death of a 22 year-old Savage man. A Grand Jury indicted Kyle Dague with second degree manslaughter and reckless discharge of a firearm in a municipality Monday. Both are felonies.

Amy Senser Begins Sentence at Shakopee Women's Prison

The wife of former Minnesota Viking Joe Senser is now an inmate at a women's prison in Shakopee.

Amy Senser was processed at 12:48 p.m. Monday after she was sentenced in a hit-and-run crash that killed a Thai restaurant chef last August.

Hennepin County District Judge Daniel Mabley sentenced Senser to 41 months in prison.
